Hi, I'm Ritta, a leadership development practitioner, accredited psychological coach and former Head of Department at the University of Essex, where I spent almost twenty
years leading change across education, people development and organisational improvement.
Throughout my career, I have supported leaders to navigate complexity, build confidence and make thoughtful decisions in environments where there are rarely simple answers. My approach is values-led and evidence-based, with a strong emphasis on psychological safety, curiosity and creating the conditions in which people can think clearly, make confident decisions and lead with purpose.
Alongside my leadership roles, I have coached and mentored colleagues for many years, supporting them with career development, leadership transitions and finding
clarity during periods of change. I particularly enjoy creating a space where people can think aloud, challenge their own assumptions and recognise strengths they may
not yet see in themselves.
Being both a leader and a parent has taught me that careers rarely follow a straight line. Our ambitions evolve, family life changes, and the strategies that worked at one
stage often need revisiting at another. I've learnt the importance of giving ourselves permission to adapt, ask for support and define success in ways that work for both
our professional and personal lives.
