King's College Hospital Logo 500 x 200Due to their commitment to tackle the gender pay gap, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust will be offering 12 fully funded places on the award-winning Leaders Plus NHS Fellowship to colleagues at King’s.

Our social enterprise Leaders Plus will be running an exclusive cohort of the award-winning and FMLM accredited NHS Fellowship specifically for King’s. Applications have just opened with the new King’s NHS Programme officially getting underway in February 2023.

Places will be open to clinical and non-clinical King’s colleagues who are at band 6 or above and have caring responsibilities for children aged 0-11.

The first six months of the Programme (the NHS Leaders Plus Foundation Fellowship) focus on career development for working parents as individuals. The following three months (the NHS Leaders Plus Changemaker Fellowship) are optional and enable Fellows to support other parents by driving positive change in their Trust.

Via the Leaders Plus NHS Fellowship King’s Fellows will access support to progress their careers alongside their family commitments, resources to help them tackle obstacles and develop into leadership roles and access to senior leaders inside and outside the NHS who will share how they have combined senior careers with young children.

Sarah Quinn, Head of Learning and Development at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust said:

At Kings we are really excited to be able to offer the first cohort of Leaders Plus out to the organisation, I have worked with Leaders Plus many times over the last few years and know the value that Fellows will get from being part of the Programme. I look forward to this partnership and for the organisation to see benefit through our leaders.

Verena Hefti MBE, CEO of Leaders Plus, said:

It’s fantastic to see King’s willingness to play a leading role in addressing gender equality. King’s are making a tangible commitment to supporting NHS parents in the workforce to continue to develop their careers alongside fulfilling their caring responsibilities, something which is essential for retention and gender equality.”
