I specialise in advising large employers (including several well-known brands) and growth companies across sectors with sensitive workplace disputes, senior level hires/exits, complex employment law issues and, more recently, managing the business impact of COVID-19.
I am responsible for leading a team of employment lawyers, across our London and Cambridge offices. I work four days per week.
I have a particular interest in helping employers prepare for the future world of work. I also believe very strongly in the importance of equality of opportunity in the workplace for everyone, regardless of social background, family responsibilities or any other characteristics/personal circumstances.
What is the biggest piece of learning or the best advice you’d like to share when it comes to combining a senior leadership career with raising young children?
Be clear on what you really value, as this will drive everything else that you do (I talked about this with Verena on the Big Careers, Small Children podcast). Talk to others who are (or have been) in a similar position, as this will help you to develop your own approach to balancing leadership and parenting.
